The 'What’s on' is compiled each week by Sidmouth Town Council.  Last entries to be received on the Monday prior to the Friday publication.  Notices can be either posted to Sidmouth Town Council, Woolcombe House, Woolcombe Lane, Sidmouth, EX10 9BB or by telephone 01395 512424.

 Please note:  What’s On Events Listing Service is provided for clubs/organisations which are non-profit making and/or have charitable status.

 FRIDAY 26th MAY

 CHRISTIAN AID OPEN GARDENS:- Various venues and times. About 20 gardens will be open to the public, some serving refreshments. Programme £3.50 from the Paragon Bookshop, High Street.

 SIDMOUTH BOWLS CLUB:- Club Pavilion, Coburg Terrace. 2.00pm - Rover Cowley B. C. Contact Mrs. Kay Lipscombe (Membership Secretary) on 514410 for further information.

 SCRABBLE AFTERNOON: Abbeyfield Court, Station Road, Sidmouth, 2.30pm –4.30pm. The Abbeyfield Sidmouth Society.  Join us for a friendly game - 80p including tea.

 SATURDAY 27th MAY

 CHRISTIAN AID OPEN GARDENS:- Various venues and times. About 20 gardens will be open to the public, some serving refreshments. Programme £3.50 from the Paragon Bookshop, High Street.

 SIDMOUTH LIONS CLUB GREAT BOOK SALE:- St. John Hall, Blackmore Drive. 10am – 12 noon. Hundreds of books to choose from, plus cakes and coffee by Lions’ ladies. All proceeds to Lions’ charity and local community service activities.

 SIDBURY WATERMILL OPEN DAY:-  Situated on A375 Sidmouth-Honiton Road in Sidbury village. 10.30am-5pm. Mill tours and demonstrations of flour production. Disabled access and on site parking. Refreshments. Free entry but donations to Sidmouth Inshore Rescue or Devon Air Ambulance would be appreciated.

 CELEBRATION OF HIGH MASS:- Sidmouth Parish Church. 11.30am. To mark Bob Millington’s 25 years as Director of Music at the Parish Church and to celebrate Father James Lovatt’s 40th year of being a priest.

 SID VALE CARNIVAL CLUB JUMBLE SALE:  Sidford Social Hall, Sidford at 2pm.  In aid of funds.

 GUIDED NATURE WALK:- The Sid Vale Association. Meet at Margaret’s Meadow (corner of Livonia Road). 2pm. Walk is about 1 hour through wild flower meadow, with identification of trees, butterflies, birds, etc. Walking shoes advised. Free of charge.

 SIDMOUTH BOWLS CLUB:- Club Pavilion, Coburg Terrace. 2.30pm - St. Dunstans B. C. Contact Mrs. Kay Lipscombe (Membership Secretary) on 514410 for further information.

 RECITAL OF POPULAR ORGAN MUSIC:- Sidmouth Parish Church. 3pm. Performed by Andrew Millington, Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral.

 SUNDAY 28th MAY

 MONDAY 29th MAY

 FRIENDS OF FORTFIELD COFFEE MORNING:- Sidmouth Cricket Pavilion, Fortfield Terrace. 10am – 12 noon. Refreshments, cake stall, bric-a-brac, second-hand books, fund raising raffle.

 FREE FUN DAY:- Sid Vale Heritage Centre (Museum). 10.30am – 12 noon. . For young visitors – making party hats.

 “A CAKE FOR A QUEEN”:- Sidmouth Library. 10am – 10.45am. Children from 5-11 can decorate a giant cardboard cake to hang in the library in celebration of the Queen’s official birthday. Free tickets available from the library but places are limited.

 PLANT SALE/COFFEE MORNING:- St. John Hall, Blackmore Drive. 10am – 11.30am. Plant stall, home-made cakes, bric-a-brac, books/CDs, raffle and more. £1 entry to include coffee and biscuits. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
